Dr. Holmes is speaking at this AWIS event, taking place on October 18, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm, on the topic of effective communication in the scientific workplace. Our mission at improvscience is exactly this: to help scientists build relationships that “crack the workplace communication code.” All our services help scientists quickly build rapport and communicate effectively and confidently with one another in lab meetings, professional conferences, and collaborative projects.

Dr. Holmes stepped into the spotlight in a recent C4Sci (Communities for Science Communication) chat on Trellis. Trellis is the online platform created by the AAAS to build community among scientists. Members can ask questions “live” of the spotlighted guest.

The Tapia Conference—the Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing—takes place in Atlanta, GA.

The Living Improv Experiment is the improvisational theatre show of improvscience performed in conjuction with conferences and science festivals.  And this September, it is part of the Cultivating Ensembles in STEM Education and Research Conference. The evening Welcome address by Dr. Holmes follows a reception and includes a LIVE show. The conference creates a unique moment to explore the relationship of arts, humanities and STEM.
