In this conference (Computational Cell Biology) we wanted to spend 1-2 hours doing something different than sitting in the auditorium and listening to more talks. If we would have just announced a free afternoon, most people would either check their emails, work, or spend time with people they already know. Instead, we invited Raquell to lead an improvscience workshop on the second day of the meeting. This workshop transformed our meeting from groups of strangers to excited and creative collaborators. It was fun, engaging and helped create new channels for communication between everyone. It provided a unique flavor to our meeting, which we all enjoyed tremendously.
