Boston University: Communicating Science Series

Dr. Raquell Holmes and BU Bioinformatics enjoy a longstanding relationship that continues to evolve. The Communicating Science: Labs to Jobs series of workshops brings improvscience to Boston University's campus this spring, sponsored by the Bioinformatics program. We look forward to engaging with workshop participants in their professional development through improvisational exercises and other interactive activities. Several opportunities exist for participation. Interested BU community members may attend any or all of the workshops listed below. An improvscience team member or collaborating guest leads the events, each of which develops a different aspect of scientists' professional performance.

On May 4, Marian Rich and Dr. Raquell Holmes lead a "Job Interviews" workshop.

On May 10, Holly Kerby and Dr. Raquell Holmes lead a "Stories in Science" workshop.

On May 17, Dr. Nick Gross and Dr. Raquell Holmes lead an "Improv for STEM: Creating Conversations in Science" workshop.

On May 18, Dr. Neil Bardhan and Dr. Raquell Holmes lead an "Effective Slide Presentations" workshop.

On May 25, Mia Anderson leads a "Professional Presentations" workshop.
