James “Glitch” Newman

Community Office Hour Host

James “Glitch” Newman began their association with Dr. Holmes via CiViC (California independent Voters in Conversation), a group founded by Sean Garret and Raquell Holmes. Glitch has been part of that group for two years. The following year, Glitch co-hosted a Freedom Festival event, after which Raquell extended an invitation to join the Freedomistas (the team of volunteers who collaborate in building the Freedom Festival).

After a productive year in the Freedomistas, Glitch was offered the opportunity to host the Community Office Hours (COH), which he does with great pride and joy. Through COH, Glitch has the pleasant experience of meeting and interacting with others (despite being a lone wolf). He is learning to work and build with others and enjoys helping others do the same.
