Freedom and Independence: I know I stand on the shoulders of creative Black women in my family, who were not afforded the opportunity to create their lives, because of systemic racism. I am an artist and entrepreneur not just by choice, but by necessity for my mental and emotional health. My life embodies the freedom and independence I know they desired for themselves.
