Uncomfortable Independent Conversations: Innovative conversations on race and class in America.

Uncomfortable Independent Conversations: Innovative conversations on race and class in America.

This is where democracy and development come together. Let’s have an uncomfortable, independent conversation to discover together what is needed for cultural transformation in America around race and racism.

Bring who you are. Build with others. Discover and stretch your and our limits.

Created in May 2020 by Dr. Raquell Holmes, Uncomfortable Independent Conversations (UIC) has become a place where people can be vulnerable with their experiences, their pain, their hopes and doubts of changing systemic racism in America. Participants carry their experiences in UIC workshops into their lives by leading uncomfortable conversations with their colleagues, family members, and friends. You are invited to help create new ways of speaking, feeling and doing with ‘the other’.
